  5. hey jennie you could turn it into a little rabbit ......hearts are tricky maybe theres too much stuffing in it or perhaps if you'd added some extra for the seams ....great patchwork tho.......x

  6. Hey Jennie.... A++ for effort... I especially like the fabric that is center/right... the first crazy quilt I tried was a heart too, you can check it out here http://acherishedlife.blogspot.com/2009/01/what-fabrics-to-choose-what-threads_24.html if you want me to send you a heart template, let me know. Hugs!

  8. Hi Jen, good on you for going with the heart shape. It's not my most favourite of things, but I suppose as always, I'll comment. I really do love the fabrics, etc. Perhaps you might make a better template if it's fashioned like me..........a little shorter top to bottom and a little rounder side to side............, think Danni DeVito................

  9. Oh yes, I love the fabrics but I think the heart needs to be more voluptuous. As Linda says or like a Rubens painting. Plump and chunky. I think you have made a good start: thanks for sharing with us. I know you asked about batting or padding on my needlebook. Sorry I have taken so long to reply. I use batting if I am doing a book cover or something like that. If I was making a heart I think I would stitch straight onto calico and then fill the whole thing with polyester.

  10. Hi Jennie - never mind the heart turning out a bit wrong - who really cares - it's the one inside you that we love - the one that is brave enough to put it on their blog! Lorna has a good suggestion of turning it into a little rabbit! Another idea is making the heart points quite pointy and shortening the bottom! - Just a thought! We love it anyway! Thanks so much for your beautiful comment on my fabric journal pages.

  11. Yeah, Jennie, I can see a cute rabbit with this. It must have been very tricky to turn (and fiddly), so I think you did a fine job of it really. Regards Dianne.
